Delores Lail is the Vice President of Sales, Fleet Management Solutions (FMS), Southeast Region for Ryder System Inc., a FORTUNE 500® commercial fleet management, dedicated transportation, and supply chain solutions company. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the contractual lease retention and growth of eight business units in the Southeast, with eight Director of Sales, a Group Director, and Manager of Sales reporting to her.
Ms. Lail began working at Ryder in 1981 as an hourly Rental Manager Trainee, and in 1991, was inducted into Ryder’s elite Rental Masters, where she now serves on the Board. Prior to her current role at Ryder, Ms. Lail has held positions of increasing responsibility, having served as a District Rental Manager, General Manager, and Director of Sales, where she placed number one in 2012. In 2015, the Southeast Region was awarded the President’s Club Award.
Ms. Lail is active in the Women’s Leadership Forum at Ryder, serving as a co-Sponsor for the Alpharetta, GA hub. She is also a Board member of the North Carolina Trucking Association, where she serves on the Strategy Council. She has served as a formal mentor to several high potential managers and currently serves as a member of Ryder’s Diversity Council.
Ms. Lail and her husband Tim have two adult daughters and reside in eastern North Carolina.
